The Three Main Camera Accessories That Every Photographer Should Own!

Each individual photographer has their own preference when it comes to the actual camera that they will use, usually based around the actual photography niche that they plan to work in. As you can imaging though, your image quality can be further improved by adding a few accessories to your photography collection. Due to this, I have decided to publish this list of the Three main camera accessories that you should have when first starting out with your photography journey. So, without and further ado, lets get started with the list.

First Up, A High Quality Lens

Although obvious to many, judging by some of the posts that we have seen on social media as well as photography forums like DPReview some people still think that they will be able to pick up a cheap mirrorless camera with a fixed lens and get involved in professional level photography.

As you can probably guess, this is not the case at all and a camera with a changable lens is pretty much essential. Granted there are some very specific niches like some astrophotography niches where a fixed super lens camera like the Nikon P900 would be best but for general photography, you will need a camera where you can quickly and easily change the lens to meet the needs of your particular session.

A Decent Quality Tripod

Next up we have the trusty tripod! Now, this can definitely be an area where you can save a little money as there is no need to go out and pick up an expensive Manfrotto tripod if you are just starting out. The last few years has seen a number of cheaper yet still high quality tripods released onto the market that will perform very well without having to break the bank.

The vast majority of photography niches can be improved by having a tripod handy to provide you with some often, much needed image stabilisation too. As all modern tripods collapse down to save space when not in use too, you can easily add one to your collection of camera accessories without issue.

An Entry Level Flash Unit

Now this one is definitely going to depend on the photography niche that you are actually involved in but a cheap entry level flash can help to improve your low light photography image quality with minimal additional effort. There are a large number of third party camera flash brands on the market that can be added to your photography kit without having to spend much money at all.

No matter what brand of camera you use, there will be some popular camera flash unit with a good reputation that you can use. Once mounted, you can crack on and take all the photographs that you need while activating your flash as required too.
