A Quick And Easy Akaso V50 Review!

If you have read any of our other articled then chances are, you have seen that we are big fans of Akaso and their budget friendly, high-quality action camera range. We have previously reviewed their Brave 4 camera but this time we have decided to go over our Akaso v50 review as it is their current top of the line model and is taking the entry level action camera market by storm.

Although we plan a shorter review for the V50 in this article as we know most people are busy and strapped for time, the video below offers an excellent in depth review of the camera and goes over exactly what its capable of.

So, if you are aware of the Akaso action camera reputation you will be aware that they are known for producting some of the best entry level cameras on the market right now with little to no real competition being out there to challange them. Their cameras are always budget friendly, packed with features, and have an excellent build quality. Thankfully, their V50 is no different and also has a number of new features that push it even further ahead of what the competing brands are able to provide.

The main thing that we want to cover is their 4K resolution and although GoPro have had 4K at Sixty frames per second on their premium priced cameras for some time now, the Akaso V50 is the very first entry level action camera to be able to add it with such a low price tag. This ensures that you are able to record your adventures in full 4K resolution even if you are involved in a fast paced sport as the Sixty frames per second should easily be able to keep up with what you are doing.

That said though, if you are into a super fast paced sport like motor cross then you can knock the resolution down to 1080P at 120 frames per second or 720p at 240 frames per second for a better blend of image quality and frames per second. This ensures that no matter the situation you find yourself in, you can quickly and easily tweak the V50 to meet your needs.

Speaking of how quickly and easily it is to switch up the settings on the V50, the navigation menu has been totally overhauled compaired to the older generations of Akaso cameras. It is still very similar but is much easier to quickly navigate and get to key settings that you may want to switch. If you are brand new to the Akaso camera range then you should be able to quickly pick up the navigation menu on the V50 as it is very easy to use.

The audio track on the camera is also excellent and on top of this, it also comes with a 20MP camera sensor as standard to ensure that you are able to get the best possible photographs from the camera too! The battery life it offers can vairy as recording at 4K at a rate of Sixty frames per second will eat much more battery life than 1080P so you will have to play around with what you plan to do with the camera to get an accurate battery life for your needs.

This is why we, and many other members of the community feel the Akaso v50 is one of the best action cameras on the market right now. Although it has a lower price tag, it actually out performs some of the higher price point cameras too and really does offer you a great little bargian that is well worth picking up.
